Short Biography Trace Adkins hit the country scene with his first single "There's a Girl in Texas" which made it into the top twenty. His next single "Every Light in the House" went Top Five. His first #1 song was "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing". His first release, "Dreamin' out Loud" helped him receive the 1997 Top New Male Vocalist Award from the Academy of Country Music. In the eighteen months since his debut album was released, he has become a bona fide "breakout artist" who consistently finds his songs at the top of the charts. Dreamin' out Loud is fast approaching one milliion in sales and his concerts have set attendance records across the country. Trace has also just recently married and the song "The Rest of Mine" he cowrote with Kenny Beard is dedicated to her. He stated "it took several sessions to write that song. We were a little in awe of the idea. I hope we got across what we wanted to say, which is, the best thing you can say to anyone is that, "I'll love you 'til I die."
